Welcome to NeoMusic. By downloading, installing, or using the NeoMusic application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
These Terms apply to all distributions of NeoMusic, including Google Play or Huawei AppGallery.
1. Description of Service
NeoMusic is a high-performance, cyberpunk-inspired Android music player built using Jetpack Compose and custom Canvas rendering. It functions as a local media player for audio files stored on your device, with optional online features (such as online lyrics lookup) that you can enable at your discretion.
2. Intellectual Property
- App Content: All custom UI elements, the "Neo" theme, custom neon color definitions, and the audio-processing logic (including the
SpectrumAudioProcessor) are the intellectual property of Tashila Pathum. - User Content: NeoMusic does not claim ownership of the music files you play through the App. You represent and warrant that you have the legal right to use and play the audio files stored on your device. NeoMusic plays only your own local files and does not stream or distribute licensed music.
- Third-Party Content: Lyrics retrieved via the optional online-lyrics feature are provided by LRCLib and belong to their respective owners.
3. License to Use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use NeoMusic for personal, non-commercial purposes on any compatible Android device that you own or control.
You may not:
- Decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the App (unless permitted by an Open Source license).
- Use the App to infringe upon the copyrights of others.
4. Purchases & Premium
NeoMusic offers an optional one-time premium purchase that unlocks additional customization features. All core features remain free.
- Payment Processing: Purchases are processed by the platform's billing provider — Google Play Billing on Google Play, or Huawei In-App Purchases (IAP) on Huawei AppGallery. We do not receive or store your payment details.
- Entitlement Scope: A premium purchase is tied to the store account and platform through which it was made. Entitlements do not automatically transfer between Google Play and Huawei AppGallery.
- Refunds: Refund requests are subject to the policies of the billing provider used for the purchase (Google or Huawei). We cannot issue refunds for purchases made through a third-party store.
5. File Modifications
NeoMusic includes tools to edit track metadata and album art, and to delete tracks from your device. These actions modify or remove files on your device and, where required by Android, prompt you for confirmation. You are solely responsible for any changes made to your files and are advised to keep backups.
6. Limitation of Liability
NeoMusic is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.
- Local Data: We are not responsible for the loss, corruption, modification, or deletion of any music files, tags, playlists, or settings on your device.
- Online Features: Optional online features depend on third-party services (such as LRCLib) whose availability and accuracy we do not guarantee.
- Device Performance: While optimized for performance, we are not liable for any device overheating, battery drain, or hardware issues resulting from use of the high-performance Canvas rendering.
7. Data & Privacy
As outlined in our Privacy Policy, NeoMusic does not operate any server that stores your data. Your playlists, settings, statistics, and cached lyrics are stored locally and cannot be recovered by us if you uninstall the App or clear its data.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
