NeoMusic ("we," "our," or "the app") values your privacy above all else. This Privacy Policy outlines our commitment to your data security and explains why NeoMusic is a "zero-data" application.
1. Data Collection
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), specifically the principle of Data Minimization (Article 5), NeoMusic is designed to function without collecting any personal data.
- No Personal Data: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or IP addresses.
- No Tracking: We do not use cookies, device identifiers, or any form of behavioral tracking.
- No Analytics/Crashlytics: We do not use third-party SDKs (like Firebase or Sentry) to monitor app performance or crashes.
2. Information Processing
NeoMusic is a fully offline application. All data processing occurs locally on your device:
- Media Library: The app requires access to your local storage to index and play your music files. This index is stored locally and is never transmitted.
3. Android Permissions
To provide the experience, the app requests the following system permissions:
- READ_MEDIA_AUDIO / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Required to access and play your music files.
4. Your Rights
You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your data. Since NeoMusic does not store any of your data on our servers, these rights are fulfilled by design:
- Right to Erasure: Simply uninstalling the app removes all locally stored app preferences and indices.
- Right to Object: You can revoke media permission at any time via your Android System Settings.
5. Third-Party Services
NeoMusic does not connect to any third-party services, APIs, or advertising networks. Your data never leaves your device.
